In celebration of Mid-autumn this year, Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant’s range of low-sugar mooncakes will be available for sale from 1 August to 13 September 2019. The line-up sees the addition of the refreshing Red Bean Paste with Preserved Orange Peel mooncake and the presentation of a baby blue drawer-style mooncake box.

Chic Mid-Autumn Gift Box
A colour symbolising immortality and advancement, this year’s mooncakes come encased in a chic baby blue box. The box also features peacock prints – said to represent elegance, rank and divinity, and plum blossoms, which celebrates the vitality of life since they have the ability to survive the winter cold. Resembling a dresser, the box is intricately completed with gold knobs, and makes for a decorative storage box atop coffee tables or in living rooms.

Collection of low-sugar mooncakes

A new addition to Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant’s mooncake selection, the filling of the Red Bean Paste with Preserved Orange Peel Mooncake (陈皮豆沙月饼) is the creation of a Master Chef based in Hong Kong. The fragrant pieces of preserved orange peels adds a unique mouthfeel and complements the moderately sweet red bean paste filling, making this mooncake one that is suitable for all ages. The onyx black Charcoal White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Macadamia Nuts (黑金坚果莲蓉月饼) and classic White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Single and Double Yolks (单黄/双黄白莲蓉月饼) will remain on the repertoire of low-sugar mooncakes.

 

Mid-autumn Imperial High Tea
In the mid-autumn rendition of the Imperial High Tea diners will be able to enjoy the Red Bean Paste with Preserved Orange Peel Mooncake and six other dim sum items while pairing them with the full-bodied Pu-er tea (陈年普洱茶), which is known to warm the stomach. The Imperial High Tea set is available at TOP of UOB Plaza and PARKROYAL on Beach Road outlets at $42 and $32 per person respectively.
