There is a hidden gem, Ahan Thai Resraurant located at City Gate Mall. “ahan Thai” is the national cuisine of Thailand, simply Thai Cuisine.
Here you can immerse yourself with authentic tastes in a modern minimalist setting. It is a hidden gem because they serve very authentic Thai food, some of which are hard to find in Singapore

For example their Stuff Chicken Wings are made with lots of meat stuff packed, after they painstakingly remove the bones from the chicken wings. This is labour intensive and so hard to find in Singapore. At the same time their prices are very reasonable, there is no GST also. We ordered a few of their signature dishes and there are many more we haven’t try.

Freshly made in house ingredients using Thai spices make it very authentic, and one of the best tasting Thai restaurant you can find in Singapore.
Even dessert like the Mango Sticky Rice they use the dark sticky rice with coconut milk, the taste is out of this world.
The steamed Seabass is also a must have and can be shared with friends and family as the size is quite big. I also find the Tom Yam soup packs a punch with the strong flavour.
The omelette and pork collar reminds me of the thai street food we have when we visit Thailand, so I am sure these are the popular dishes. Baked Shrimp with Grass Noodle is a classic dish and we loved it. Duck Red Curry was rich and spicy, prefer to have it with some rice, it will be the perfect match.
We were quite impress with the menu as there are quite a large selection of Thai dishes.
