Having received a Michelin Star every year for the last three years, this restaurant serves up a range of fiery Sichuan dishes for brave diners who dare to take the plunge. Modelled after the seven flavours of Sichuan – spicy, aromatic, sweet, bitter, sour, peppery, and salty – dishes here can either flavour your palate lightly or leave you with a searing tongue. With spices directly imported from Sichuan to preserve authenticity, and a kitchen dedicated to preserving the highest quality in their food, diners can expect nothing but perfection from this restaurant.
To start with, try the Chilli Oil Wontons, a dish of juicy meat wrapped in tender wonton skin and then soaked in a stringing rendition of chilli, oil, garlic, and vinegar. This is one dish that you can slurp up to feel the slow burn. Not so brave? Opt for the tender Drunk Boneless Chicken instead – made with rich meat and alcohol, this dish allows you to join in the party without setting fire to your tongue. For mains, you can’t go wrong with the Sugar Glazed Ginger and Scallion Beef. A crowd favourite, the sugar glaze provides welcome respite for the tongue after the chilli oil of the appetizers. Enjoy this dish with some steamed rice, or simply on its own.
