Shangri-La Singapore unveils its latest offering at its revered high tea destination The Rose Veranda. From 1 May 2024, guests can look forward to a renewed afternoon tea experience, with the introduction of a new never-ending dessert bar, a choice of a savoury main course accompanied with a selection of handcrafted cakes and pastries, savoury delicacies, and artisanal sandwiches, expertly prepared by our culinary team. This culinary journey promises to enchant guests with a symphony of flavours and textures.

Complementing the exquisite afternoon experience is a choice of a pot of hot tea, including the hotel’s signature The Rose Veranda and Shangri-La tea blends. The afternoon tea experience starts from SGD68++ per person and is available between Wednesdays to Sundays, from 12 to 5pm.

From succulent seafood delicacies to hearty meat dishes, The Rose Veranda’s high tea menu is thoughtfully crafted to accommodate a range of dietary preferences and culinary desires. Each offering is tailored for a leisurely afternoon spent in elegant surroundings, ensuring a delightful experience for every palate.

Guests can indulge in one of the following main course selections:

  1. Pan Roasted Sous Vide Prime Steer Tenderloin: This dish showcases the tenderness and rich flavours of prime-grade beef tenderloin cooked to perfection using the sous vide method and served with a luscious texture of mushrooms and a zesty wasabi shoyu butter.
  2. Free Range Chicken Breast: Tender free-range chicken breast adorned with decadent truffle foie gras butter, velvety burnt onion soubise, and a luscious Pinot Noir reduction.
  3. Seafood Cioppino: A seafood stew brimming with octopus, mussels, shrimp, and red snapper, bathed in a savoury tomato-fennel broth, served with garlic bread for a hearty, Mediterranean-inspired delight.
  4. Zucchini and Goat Cheese Tart: A treat paired with citrus-infused, minted pea puree, and topped with delicate shaved asparagus, creating a vibrant and refreshing springtime flavour fusion.

Indulge your sweet tooth at our new ever-flowing dessert bar, a haven brimming with an irresistible array of sweet treats featuring sliced cakes, delicate tea cakes, and classic pound cakes for your enjoyment.

A highlight on the dessert spread is the Rocher Almond Dulcey Glaze, a delightful handcrafted cake available for sale at Shophouse by Shangri-La in the hotel lobby. A signature cake is also featured every week, created by our skilled pastry Chef Autumn, who will unveil a different masterpiece each week.

Available from 1 May 2024 and priced at SGD 68++ per person, the exclusive high tea offering at The Rose Veranda encompasses a choice of one main dish, a platter of 4 savoury petite bites, and access to our limitless dessert bar, accompanied with a pot of signature tea.

Alternatively, those seeking to indulge solely in new dessert bar can opt for just the experience at SGD 38++ per person, including a pot of signature tea.
