Sake lovers rejoice! The largest and most popular sake festival in Singapore is back for its Spring 2023 edition. Sake Matsuri Singapore will be held on April 1 and 2 at the Urban Park @ Guoco Tower, the tallest building in Singapore. This is a new venue for the festival, which used to take place at UE Square.
Sake Matsuri Singapore will feature more than 200 sake from over 50 breweries across Japan, including some rare and award-winning sake that have never been available in Singapore before. You can taste sake from different regions and styles, such as Junmai Daiginjo, Junmai Ginjo, Nigori, Sparkling, and even Awamori from Okinawa. You can also learn more about sake from the brewers themselves, who will be flying in specially for the event.
A ticket to Sake Matsuri Singapore costs S$55 per person or S$250 for a group of five. It includes entry into one of the three-hour sessions (11am to 2pm or 3pm to 6pm) and a Riedel tasting glass that you can keep. You can also purchase your favourite sake at discounted festival prices.
If you are hungry, you can enjoy some delicious food from various vendors, such as Gyu San’s Wagyu fat-fried katsu sandos and Wagatomo’s small bites. You can also sign up for masterclasses and sake pairing dinners conducted by sake experts and sommeliers, such as Sake Samurai Elliot Faber from Hong Kong.
