Hoodadak Singapore Authentic Korean Restaurant

@hoodadak.sg Hoodadak Singapore is a Korean Restaurant that opened in Fusionopolis in One North, Buona Vista. “Hoodadak” we believe it means a running chicken or the sound of a chicken running. Which explains the chicken motifs found in various places in the restaurant. The head chef is Korean, the menu has wide selection of Korean authentic dishes. We recently visited their restaurant and would like to recommend these dishes

Army stew or army base stew (Budae Jjigae) is Korean fusion stew that incorporates American style food such as spam, sausages, canned baked beans and sliced cheese. Although the dish was born in the period of post-war impoverishment, it continued to be popular during the period of rapid growth, and is still popular today. Here this dish did not disappoint with its flavorful soup base and large variety of ingredients.

The seafood pancake was served next. These are the best Korean pancakes we have eaten. Each slice of the pancake was saturated with seafood, mostly squid we think and a lot of chives. It tasted like a seafood and chives omelette. A small amount of chilli was included in the mix to give it a slight spicy kick. The sauce provided had a sweet and sour taste. A small amount of the sauce was enough to enhance the flavour.

Next is the La Galbi or grilled beef short ribs in Korean cuisine. “Galbi” is the Korean word for “rib”, and the dish is usually made with beef short ribs. The dish is marinated in a sweet and savory sauce usually containing soy sauce, garlic, and sugar. Both non-marinated and marinated galbi are often featured in Korean barbecue.

Next is the Cheese Chicken, chicken on a hot plate with generous portion of cheese on top. Easily a top favorite dish here

Last is the popcorn chicken, deep fried chicken pieces here which is perfect to go with some beer or soju
