Zaffron Kitchen is a casual dining, cosmopolitan-style Indian restaurant that serves traditional North Indian cuisine at a moderate price. It launched its first outlet on East Coast Rd in 2011. Zaffron Kitchen’s menu consists a variety of traditional North Indian dishes. It serves favourites such as Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Shank Biryani, and Naan. Vegetarians are well-catered for by favourites such as Channa Masala, Palak Paneer and Dahl Makhani. It has an extensive range of mocktails, cocktails and wine to pair with its North Indian dishes. There is a good offering of traditional Indian desserts, such as Moong Dal Halwa, Gajar Ka Halwa and Kulfi, which guarantee a satisfying meal. We recently taste some of their new menu and would like to recommend them.

Mains: Zaffron Chicken Biryani: Flavourful basmati biryani rice and succulent chicken. Lamb Shank Biryani: Australian lamb shank stewed with aromatic spices and basmati rice in Hyderabadi style
Butter Chicken: Chicken Tikka marinated in a delightful yogurt and spice mixture, and simmered in a rich tomato, cashew nuts, butter flavoured gravy accented with dry fenugreek.
Palak Paneer: A popular vegetarian dish with Indian cottage cheese served in rich spinach gravy
Garlic Naan: Tandoor naan baked with garlic. Kashmiri Naan: Tandoori naan filled with mixed nuts and preserved fruits. Drinks: Yuzu Lassi, Spiced Virgin Mojito: a refreshing concoction of lime, mint leaves, soda, topped with cardamom and cinnamon powder.
