The elves at Folklore are introducing hearty Peranakan twists to Christmas Menu this year. This season, deck your palates with boughs of flavour at Folklore for just this short month of December.
Taking inspiration from the melting pot of Singaporean cultures, the heritage of beach road, the elves have devised a menu that will delight you with flavours familiar and a new fusion that will be a delight to your palates.
Revel in favourites such as Mango Kerabu, an appetizing salad with a Peranakan twist that will surprise your taste buds.
Be introduced to Satay Pork Ribs Fingers, the very agreeable start of a Christmas party that involves drinks, or your Christmas dinner. Marinated for 12 hours,  concoction of Indian-inspired spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, curry, and chilli powder makes this a highly coveted dish.
Make merry with our choice cut of Barramundi Belly, infused with house-made sambal. A special blend of Southeast Asian flavours, our elves serve it in banana leaves to infuse a uniquely pleasant signature taste to this dish.
Always welcome at a party, sink your teeth into our Lam Yu Marinated Fried Half-Spring Chicken, post-modern representation of Chinese heritage.
To complete the cultural storytelling with the flavours of Singapore at your table, make room for Beef Rendang with Roti Jala. Savour the flavours of a tender braised beef, complimented with rich spices such as chillies, ginger, and an elf secret ‘7 spices blended in coconut milk.’
Because there is always room for dessert, do not disappoint yourself, and end your dinner with an Old Fashioned Kueh Platter to merry your senses in rich Peranakan fashion. And if you enjoy dinner so much, have a drink or two at our cosy Folklore lobby bar.
