Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant, a Singapore Michelin Bib Gourmand-listed establishment, has opened its 2nd outlet at DUO near Bugis. This branch is located at DUO #01-48, and is within walking distance from the Bugis MRT station.

The most popular choice at Man Man is the Large Hitsumabushi, a dish that features grilled eel on rice, with soup, pickles, additional broth, and spices. Diners are encouraged to consume the Hitsumabushi three ways: plain with rice, with grated wasabi and one of the sauces, or by pouring dashi stock into the small bowl with some eel and rice. The DUO branch has an in-house exclusive, the “DUO Unagi,” which contains both Tokutoku Kabayaki (seasoned with unagi sauce) and Tokutoku Shirayaki (broiled and seasoned with salt).

Other popular dishes include the A3 Wagyu Dice Cut Steak with Unagi Hitsumabushi and Grilled Hokkaido Scallops with Unagi Hitsumabushi. If you’re looking to try some scallop or beef with the unagi, these two dishes are highly recommended.

One of the best parts of dining at Man Man is watching the preparation of the unagi. The eel tasted different from most others and had a nicely crisp texture, without any weird smell or taste. The restaurant is also offering a special promotion for Japanese beer and high ball, which is only $5++ every day. To accompany the drinks, they serve a variety of bar snacks.
