SIAM SQUARE MOOKATA is the pioneer of MOOKATA Restaurant in Singapore. They serve authentic Thai Mookata and all ingredients are freshly bought and replenished daily to maintain the freshness. They prepare all the ingredients including cutting, marinating and brewing of our soup daily. This I believe is the reason they have stood out among many Mookata in Singapore nowadays. Another BIG SELLING POINT is their special SECRET RECIPE Chilli Sauce. We have a few levels of spiciness and a few special sauces to cater to different spice tolerances. Their prices are also very reasonable and affordable, priced starting from S$1.80.

Mookata is a Thai Barbeque Steamboat. “Mookata” loosely translates “Moo” as Thai Pork and “Kata” as Skillet. It originated from Northern Thailand.

They have several outlets in Singapore, and we went to one of their newest at 600 @ Toa Payoh Lorong 4, which is at TPY Central near a MacDonald and the NLB.

It is quite large and spacious, indoor airconditioned with smoke suction installed.

They have a wide variety of items to select and prices start from $1.80. Just pick what you want to start off and it’s all very pocket friendly. Ingredients are freshly prepared so it will taste good when you cook over the metal plate. Staff service is also excellent and friendly. They have several drinks selection including ice-cold beer and soju, the perfect companion to BBQ Mookata.

We recommend the meat items, oysters, scallop, sliced fish, prawn, cheese ball, cheese-dip, truffle corns, mushrooms, bacon-cheese sticks, spicy chicken.

The service here is excellent and prompt. We had a very enjoyable dining experience.
