WURSTHANS SWITZERLAND AT PLQ

Wursthaus Switzerland @wursthans.sg is a relatively new casual dining restaurant in Paya Lebar Quarter serving sausages and rosti as well as Swiss meatloaf, rostisserie chicken, sandwiches, soups, salads. It is an affordable restaurant in a convenient location to enjoy Swiss cuisine in Singapore.

Wursthans is a German wordplay, derived from the word “Hanswurst”, where “Wurst” means sausage, while “Hans” is a common German first name. So Wursthans: (wʊəst’hans) – Hans, the sausage expert, or Hans who lives for sausages.

We tried their signature dishes:
GOTHARD ROSTI (Smoked Pork Cervelat, Fried Egg, Caramelised Onion) with an additional serving of cheese Top Up
ROTHORN ROSTI (Smoked Salmon, Purple Sauerkraut, HOuse made Sour cream)
OVEN ROASTED CHICKEN (HALF) (Oven Roasted Vegetables, White Wine Cream Sauce)

The Pork Cervelat was thick and had a firm bite. Fans of gourmet sausages will like this very much.

The rösti was pan-fried to a beautiful golden brown, crispy outer layer. And you know it is a must to have rösti with sour cream, lots of it, for the full rösti experience!

The Swiss Rotisserie Chicken (Oven Roasted Chicken) comes with oven-roasted poulet, oven-roasted potatoes & veggies with white wine cream sauce.

Nicely roasted and seasoned, the poulet was full of flavors while still being extremely tender. It was paired with a white wine cream sauce that was light yet savory.

The potatoes were fragrant, pillowy, and had a nice outer char while the veggies were sweet, crunchy, and juicy.

There are still many other types of Swiss sausages such as the Cervelat and Veal Bratwurst that are popular in Switzerland for you to try with their DIY option and there are other options such as sandwiches, salads and cheese fondue as well.
