AQUOS R9

The R9 features a high-performance Snapdragon® 7+ Gen 3 Mobile Platform processor with 12GB of RAM, ensuring smooth operation for data-intensive apps like games and videos. It also features an advanced vapour chamber cooling system, a first for AQUOS smartphones, which circulates liquid and vapour internally to efficiently dissipate heat during high loads. Additionally, the Pro IGZO OLED display, measuring 6.5 inches with an Full High Definition Plus (FHD+) resolution, offers a high Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) variable refresh rate of up to 240Hz and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. This display supports Dolby Vision, ensuring vibrant visuals. Coupled with the largest box of stereo speakers in the Aquos series, which support Dolby Atmos technology, the device delivers clear and powerful sound, creating an immersive viewing and audio experience.

Its camera also boasts an Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS) to reduce blurring, advanced autofocus that tracks subjects even when momentarily obscured, and various video functions such as Cinematic Mode and Night Video Mode for bright night-time videos. The camera also has a triple 50 MP AF camera for the front, rear and wide camera, perfect for every picture perfect moment.

Miyake Design, renowned for their minimalist and aesthetically pleasing creations, has crafted the R9 with a distinctive curving line around the camera and used recycled aluminium for its eco-friendly build. The R9 also meets military standards for waterproofing, dust resistance, and shock resistance, ensuring reliable performance in various environments.

The R9 also incorporates Generative AI (GenAI) to summarise and display voice messages, enabling users to quickly check their messages without listening to lengthy recordings. This feature is particularly useful for busy professionals, helping them manage communications efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively.

AQUOS wish4

As part of SHARP’s essential range, the wish4 is pocket-friendly, making it an ideal choice for students and budget-conscious users seeking both functionality and style. The wish4 is also environmentally conscious, using approximately 60% recycled plastic materials for the housing and 100% recycled aluminium for the side keys. It features low-VOC paint to reduce air pollution. Additionally, Miyake Design incorporated a soft, rounded design into the wish4 for high durability and visual appeal.

The wish4 stands out with its robust 6.6-inch reinforced glass display, which is shatter-resistant. Built to resist water, dust, and shocks, the wish4 also adheres to military standards. Coupled with its 5,000-mAh battery that provides extended usage time of up to a week with approximately one hour of use per day, it is an excellent choice for practical users who need a reliable device without frequent charging. The 50 megapixel camera, equipped with the AQUOS ProPix lite image quality engine, ensures clear night scenes and portraits, while features like AI Auto and Phase-Difference AF make it easy to focus in dark settings.

User-friendly features on the wish4 include Junior Mode and Simple Mode, which support Google Family Links for children and display larger text for seniors, enhancing accessibility for users of all ages. Furthermore, the nuisance call function allows users to block calls from suspicious numbers, adding an extra layer of security and peace of mind.
