ILMIRI X CHUNPOONG BREWERY EXCLUSIVE LAUNCH: IMPORTED PREMIUM LIVE RICE WINE IN APAC

Singapore, a melting pot of diverse cultures and a hub for culinary adventures is about to experience a unique taste of Korea with the exclusive collaboration between Ilmiri and Chunpoong Brewery. Ilmiri, a celebrated Korean brand with over 230 franchise stores, opened its doors in Singapore on September 18, 2023. Now, from December 7, 2023, an exciting new chapter unfolds as Ilmiri introduces an exclusive partnership with Chunpoong Brewery, the oldest and most iconic brewery in Korea.

The Arrival of Authenticity

Ilmiri brings to Singapore the essence of Korean tradition by importing two distinct types of rice wine, Mijiu and Makgeolli, directly from Chunpoong Brewery. A noteworthy detail is the weekly air transport via a cold chain from Korea, ensuring the yeast within the rice wine remains alive, delivering an unparalleled tasting experience.

Chunpoong Brewery, recently recognized as the top brewery in Korea through a blind evaluation by JoongAng Ilbo, boasts an impressive 104 years of fermentation expertise. The unique selling points of Chunpoong’s Mijiu and Makgeolli include a delightful mixture of Tangerine and Vanilla aroma compounds, a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and an array of five different flavours, including the exotic Schisandra.

Praise from Connoisseurs

The acclaim for Chunpoong Miju transcends borders, with LVMH wine experts likening its taste and aroma to the white wines of Burgundy, France. Renowned wineries such as Cloudy Bay in New Zealand have also acknowledged its excellence, drawing comparisons to some of the finest white wines globally.

Technology Meets Tradition

The secret behind Chunpoong Miju and Makgeolli lies in the integration of AIOT-based equipment technology with a century-old fermentation process. Carefully selected organic rice forms the base, resulting in a clear initial pour with a silky mouthfeel and natural fruit notes. Shaking the beverage adds a creamy and rich texture, creating a multi-layered sensory experience.

Unmissable Promotions

Ilmiri @Boat Quay invites enthusiasts to indulge in a complimentary tasting experience until the end of December. Diners can avail themselves of exclusive vouchers, offering Chunpoong Mijiu and Makgeolli at promotional prices of $98 and $28, respectively (U.P. $138 and $38). As an added bonus, a complimentary bottle is included with the purchase of two bottles.

Dine-in customers at Ilmiri will be treated to complimentary side dishes that complement the flavors of the rice wines. Additionally, a variety of Makgeolli cocktails, featuring secret recipes and a honeycomb Makgeolli for a sweet ending, are available to elevate the overall experience.

Chunpoong Miju (米酒)
Volume: 720ml / ABV: 12%

Chunpoong Miju is produced through an ultraprecision fermentation process by introducing AI
technology to the traditional brewing method that has been around for over 100 years.

Carefully selected organic rice and nuruk (natural fermentation starter) are used, and the first sip of yakju (filtered & clear) has a silky mouthfeel and a variety of natural fruit notes, and when shaken and savored as takju (unfiltered & hazy), it adds another layer of creamy and rich texture.

Smooth and stable tastes are achieved through longer fermentation, and since it is bottled after
complete fermentation, there is less carbonation due to post-fermentation and hangover-causing substances are volatilized as much as possible to minimize hangovers.

We recommend that you savour your first glass as an aperitif, by pouring only the clear top layer. Chunpoong Miju is best stored upright and should be refrigerated between 1 to 4 degrees Celsius.
