Hyundai has made a big splash at the Singapore Motorshow 2023 by unveiling the first made-in-Singapore limited edition IONIQ 5 First 100 vehicle. Produced at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS), this Singapore-exclusive line of cars elegantly combines innovative concept car designs with high performance, environmentally friendly materials, and an array of smart tech, like their proprietary Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) platform, ultra-fast charging and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities. They also include unique ‘First 100’ car badges and commemorative ‘EVS’ plates numbered 1 to 100.
The IONIQ 5 has been recognized as a vehicle of choice in the international arena, clinching globally reputed awards such as World Car of the Year 2022, World Electric Vehicle of the Year 2022, World Car Design of the Year 2022, 2022 German Car of the Year, and 2022 UK Car of the Year.
The IONIQ 5 goes on sale today, retailing from S$147,800 (excluding COE and VRN). To celebrate this milestone, Hyundai has launched a charity auction – the IONIQ 5 First 100 Charity Auction – that features 100 units of this car. Bidding opened at 2:30pm on January 12th, 2023 and will remain open until January 19th, 6pm or until VRNs run out. All bidding proceeds will be donated to the President’s Challenge, a key national charity campaign.
The car is available only to Singapore drivers and will come in the shade Gravity Gold Matte, with Dark Pebble Grey interiors. It will also feature debossed seats for refined detail.
