Limited Edition Opulence – Origin Bar Cocktail Snowskin Mooncakes

Making a debut this year are limited-edition snow skin mooncakes from Origin Bar, recently ranked No. 66 on Asia’s 100 Best Bars, and recognised by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation as one of the best international hotel bars in the Asia Pacific. Presenting an eight-piece cocktail ensemble, these bespoke mooncakes are elegantly packaged and paired with a bottle of Moon Tipplers Cocktail^[1] ($128).

These unique creations consist of four Origin Signature Cocktail Snowskin Mooncakes – a take on the bar’s signature cocktail, each mooncake is filled with spiced pineapple marmalade, lime zest, white lotus paste, white chocolate gin truffle, dry gin and vermouth; and the remainder are created with inspiration from Negroni Cocktail, this delectable treat is filled with rich dark chocolate paste, spiced chocolate rum, Campari and vermouth.

The Origin bar Cocktail Snowskin Mooncakes are presented in a robin-egg-blue box fashioned after a luggage case, inspired by the spirit of train travel and Origin Bar’s concept of taking guests on a journey of discovery.

Shangri-La Mooncake Selection Gift Box – For the Discerning Gourmands

An exclusive Shangri-La signature recipe, the Shangri-La Mooncake Selection Gift Box ($148) includes three unique flavours for discerning gourmands:

50-year-aged mandarin peel, rose and red bean paste mooncakes (3 pcs)
50-year-aged mandarin peel, chestnut and red bean paste mooncakes (3 pcs) Mini white lotus seed paste with yolk (3 pcs)

Treasured 50-year aged mandarin peel, is combined within velvety sweet red bean paste with floral notes from dried rose petals from Yunnan province to form the 50-year-aged mandarin peel, rose and red bean paste mooncakes; while the 50-year-aged mandarin peel, chestnut and red bean originated from Tianjin.

The nine-piece mini baked mooncakes are beautifully packaged in a cylindrical box inspired by the ethereal scenery of Shangri-La, a land shrouded in mountainous charm.

Enjoy the Signature Mini Baked Custard with Bird’s Nest, filled with generous mouthfuls of nourishing bird’s nest wrapped in a smooth, creamy custard and baked till golden brown. Durian lovers will be delighted to know the Premium Mao Shan Wang Durian Snowskin Mooncakes is returning this year. Back by popular demand, these indulgent treats are made with fresh ‘Mao Shan Wang’ durian, with its bittersweet notes and smooth creamy filling wrapped within the soft delicate snowskin.

Those with a yearn for the familiar will appreciate the new baked flavour – Yam with Red Bean and Shredded Coconut ($78 for a box of four). Yam and red bean are blended to form a smooth paste, before shredded coconut is introduced to give the pastry a satisfying bite. Also available are the popular Shang Palace Four Treasures ($85) and baked mooncakes classics such as the Reduced Sugar White Lotus Paste with four, double and single yolk, and mixed nuts with chicken ham. Each comes in a hexagonal box with four drawers, available in three colours: red, turquoise and gold, and embellished with peonies that symbolise luck and prosperity.
