Christmas, Lion-City Style
Sumptuous Festive Feasts at The Line
Afternoon Tea Sojourn at The Lobby Lounge
From pandan to palm sugar and Peranakan flavours, Shangri-La Singapore refreshes the tables and adds variety to the usual Christmas fare with a local twist.
Come December, well-loved buffet destination The Line features an array of festive buffets with Singapore-style dishes. Must-haves include the Poached Turkey Singapore Laksa, Salted Eggs Crab, Chilli Prawns, Grilled Otah Otah, Chicken & Beef Satay and Hainanese Chicken Rice.
Taking pride in the Lion City’s rich heritage, The Lobby Lounge presents delectable, unique dishes that offer local flavours with a twist, so guests will get to experience and savour a one-of-a-kind Christmas feast. On its Festive Afternoon Tea menu are Nasi Lemak Scones, Pang Susi, Christmas Berries Cake Lapis, Cranberry Ondeh Ondeh, Kueh Sago Toffee Nut and Pandan Kaya Tunnel Roll. Its enticing six-course Eurasian Feast for takeaway is equally worth considering. Included are House-made Achar, Curry Debal, Beef Smore, Yellow Vegetable Curry and Sugee Cake.
Add to cart the Pandan Panettone and Britt’s Mulled Wine V2.0 from the Shophouse for more local goodness. The fragrant and flavoursome panettone is inspired by the pandan chiffon cake, which was crowned Singapore’s national cake in 2017 by CNN and was the confectionary that started the pandan trend, while the mulled wine, handcrafted by Head Sommelier Britt Ng, infuses local ingredients like nutmeg flower, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, dehydrated oranges and palm sugar (gula melaka).
