It is almost a year since Marco Pierre White brought a piece of England to Singapore with his first establishment in Asia. The English House by Marco Pierre White will celebrate 1 year on the 16th September. The English House are delighted to announce that from the 1st September 2019, a traditional British weekend breakfast menu is available. (Saturday/Sunday 8:30am – 11am)
The traditional full English breakfast is a centuries old British breakfast tradition, that can be traced back as early as the 1300’s. And it’s not hard to understand why, the full English breakfast, (aka the fry up) is ingrained in British culture and loved by many across the globe. It’s not easy to find a good, traditional “Full English” breakfast in Asia hence why the team at The English House have decided to fill this much awaited gap!
Infamous for it’s Sunday roasts, another great British foodie tradition, The English House, Head Chef Andrew Bennett was keen to share with Singapore how a good English breakfast should look and taste. Guests can look forward to a traditional menu of set breakfast dishes, as well as regular specials, in a one-of-a-kind restaurant interior that combines the best of Straits Chinese and classic Singapore shophouse design, with whimsical English touches. The breakfast menu, in line with the elevated British comfort food theme, reflects the restaurateur’s philosophy. “I think food should be food. Generous, hearty, delicious,” he says. ‘ I want The English House to be a place where the atmosphere, service and food come together, creating a memorable experience, morning, noon and night.”
