The team at Fortune Court is made up of experienced chefs from a Michelin Gourmet Restaurant, bringing their passion for quality Cantonese cuisine to both locals and tourists in the bustling area.

We recently had the opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year at Fortune Court, and I have to say, it was an incredible culinary experience. The Prosperity Set, which serves 4-10 people, was the perfect way to kick off the festivities with my family and friends.

The standout dish of the night was definitely the Fortune’s Unagi “LoHei”. The unagi was cooked to perfection – tender and flavorful – and the addition of the traditional “lohei” ingredients made for an exciting twist on a classic dish. The Braised Eight Treasure Shark’s fin was also a hit, with the rich, savory sauce complementing the delicate shark’s fin perfectly.

The Chef Signature Buttery Prawn was another delicious dish. The prawns were plump and succulent, and the buttery sauce added a decadent touch. The Hong Kong-style Steam Dragon Grouper was also a standout, with the fish cooked perfectly and the steaming broth adding depth and complexity to the dish.

The Braised Abalone with Mushroom and Broccoli was a beautiful dish to look at and it was even more delicious to eat. The braised abalone was tender and the mushroom and broccoli added a nice crunch to the dish. The Braised Ee Fu Noodles with Sakura Shrimp was a great accompaniment to the other dishes. The sakura shrimp added a unique sweetness to the dish and the ee fu noodles were cooked to perfection.

Last but not least, the Glutinous Rice Ball in Red Bean Paste was a great way to end the meal.

Overall, I would highly recommend Fortune Court for anyone looking to celebrate Chinese New Year in style. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for a festive occasion.
