Q-WA Bar and Yakitori Review

Q-WA Bar and Yakitori is a Japanese izakaya-themed gastro-bar located at 39 East Coast Road, along the busy food street.
It has been opened for 6 years now, but it was the first time we visited the place.

The place is not very big but definitely very cozy and excellent for a nice evening out.
They open from 5 pm on weekdays and from lunch onwards on weekends.

Ice cold Asahi beer is only $5 before 8 pm.

You can select a wide variety of skewers from chicken to beef and even different chicken parts.
Crispy Japanese freshwater crab is one of the unique dishes here.

Their saba fish is also refreshing. Yaki Udon in the special sauce is one of their signature dishes.
Another item they have done well is the Yaki Onigiri, Grilled rice ball.
For Sake lovers, this is the right place, they brought in a wide variety of sake, even those that are priced more than a thousand dollars a bottle like the Juyondai 十四代.

Of course, they also serve much reasonably priced sake like the one we ordered for $38

Their yakitori menu featured charcoal-grilled skewered meats, seafood, vegetable, beef, and yakiniku charcoal-grilled main course (beef steak, chicken chop, salmon fillet, codfish fillet, pork chop) are complemented with a wide range of premium sake, Japanese single malt whiskies, and beers.

Overall this is a place worth recommending for its reasonable pricing, as well as the tasty skewers.
It is a great place to have some drinks to go with the food. Call to reserve a table at 6348 9938.
